How to Change Your Life, Stop Wearing a Mask & Discover Your Purpose
How do you feel when you wake up in the morning?
Most people wake up in the morning and go to jobs that they don’t like.
They have sold their life, exchanging their time for money to satisfy materialistic needs.
Can’t see that this emotional attachment to materialistic things is so harmful?
Instead of expressing themselves in a unique way they prefer to live a lifestyle of slavery by being stuck in a cog job. (Or in a cog college degree.)
Most people live a life full of limitations and rules.
You must go to school.
You must clean your bedroom.
You must find a good job.
You can’t do that because it is not “normal”.
Your goals are unrealistic, you have to settle for less..
Then you end up working 14 hours per day, not living your life, being depressed and feeling unfulfilled…
(Is that what you really want out of life?)
Nowadays, so many people are stuck in these boxes called companies – instead of pursuing their dreams and real desires.
So many people wear clothes that they don’t want to wear.
Everybody is showing up doing things that don’t want to do. There is no natural behavior.
“Is your life’s purpose to wear a mask? That’s how you are going to live your ONE life?”
Stop sitting around wearing the victim identity like the most people do.
Why don’t you try to change everything that’s in your control?
Entrepreneurs are thriving even during the financial crisis.
Use what you have, spend your time wisely and don’t waste your time on meaningless stuff that don’t help you grow.
Society wants you to be mediocre. To compromise…To become a square person in a square hole.
You have two choices.
Either kneel down and keep living a life with conditions. Keep living a life being told how you are supposed to live.
Or chose to become different, become a lion.
Lions don’t kneel down. Lions choose their path, lions are leaders.
Ask yourself…What is your life purpose?
Don’t worry about money. Don’t let money fool you.
When you don’t wear a mask anymore – when you devote yourself to your goals, money will come.
Even if money doesn’t come (which is unlikely) – you would have the freedom of taking your own path.
Freedom of choice is invaluable.
Most people are not free. They are slaves. Even if we live in a world of freedom.
Are you really free when you have to ask your boss for permission to take a day off and spend time with your kids?
Are you free when you have to go to work even if you are sick, because if you don’t go you are going to lose your job?
Let all the others live in slavery telling you what is right and what is wrong. They don’t know anything.
Why take advice from slaves on how to not be a slave?
I don’t say that having a job automatically makes you a slave. No.
What does make you a slave?
Having a job that fills you with dread and despair when you wake up in the morning. Starting your day like that is no way to live…
You need to find what is worthwhile for you and chase it. Follow it like your life depends on it. (It does!)
For most people out there “life just happens”.
To have a fancier car than the Joneses have?
A bigger home to fit your ideal model of wealth?
Or a better phone than the snooty colleague at work?
Great purpose to live for…
Why It’s Important to Have a Purpose (Vision)
Do you know what separates you from an animal?
Animals live only to survive.
They just exist and bring their offsprings to the world.
On the other side, you are different.
Humans have bigger cognitive capacities and don’t live only to survive. If you live only to survive then you have missed the point of life.
Humans have a sense of purpose because unlike animals they don’t want to just survive. They want to thrive.
When you don’t have a purpose you will fall in the trap of drug abuse, alcohol, porn or meaningless sex and other filthy habits.
Lack of purpose can also lead to misery, depression, disappointment and anxiety.
The high increase in alcohol and drug abuse the last years proves that humans have lost their sense of purpose and are just walking mindlessly through life.
Let’s check the numbers in USA:
- From 2007 to 2013, 3 million people started using marijuana according to the National Institute of Drug Abuse.
- There were 2.8 million users of illicit drugs in 2013.
- The number of young Americans, aged 12 or older that use illicit substances has increased by 8.4% from 2002 to 2012. If you think that an 8.4% increase isn’t that big you should consider that this increase refers to an estimated 24.6 million Americans – almost 10% of the population.
Of course, the lack of purpose isn’t the only cause responsible for these facts.
However, it is a major one that contributes to these circumstances.
When you have a purpose to drive you and motivate you, you don’t need things like alcohol and drugs fulfill you emotionally.
Your vision is what keeps you going day after day.
Having a Purpose Is As Powerful As A Form of Energy That Melts Concrete
A sense of purpose is like a magnifying glass. It gives you the same power that a magnifying glass gives to a random beam of light.
When the solar energy is spread in the air it has little to no power.
But what happens when it’s directed towards a specific spot?
(Hint: It becomes much stronger.)
The laws of Physics do not lie!
When you concentrate a beam of light on one single spot using a magnifying glass, this light can burn a piece of paper.
Do you know what happens when your life purpose is strong enough?
It’s like having a huge magnifying glass, a huge solar panel that redirects all your energy to accomplishing your goals.
A big solar panel made of glass can burn woods, melt concrete, break glass, melt metal or even cook food.
In the same way, a strong purpose can beat obstacles, deal with worries, bring you money, success, fulfillment and self growth.
Your mind has the same power as this solar scorcher, but only if you have a clear purpose.
If you are wondering how to change your life around then finding a clear purpose is the first step you have to take.
How to Find Out If You Have a Purpose Or Not
The simplest way to realize if you are living a purpose driven life is to watch how you act and feel the moment you wake up.
Are you waking up each morning with a feeling energy and excitement?
Do you want to go to work like crazy?
Or would you rather hit the snooze button and stay in bed for longer?
Only you know the answer.
But if you don’t feel excited about your day when you wake up, then you simply don’t live a purpose driven life.
How to Change Your Life & Find Your Purpose in 2 Simple Steps
The first thing you’ve got to do is to ask yourself: “What inspires me and makes me feel fulfilled?”
Think for a moment before you give your answer. Your answer to that question can’t be something insignificant like drinking beers or watching game of thrones.
Sure, these things are fun and can be a part of your life, but you should have a purpose that is bigger than you.
You have to connect yourself with something more significant.
You can’t just live, breathe and wait until you die.
You should find something that fulfills you.
What is that brings you the most emotional satisfaction when you are doing it?
The answer to this question could probably be your life purpose. Recognizing what makes you feel this way is the first step to changing your life.
Of course you might be really young and haven’t lived enough yet to answer this question.
However, I believe that if you are over 15 you should already have an idea of what makes you emotionally satisfied.
In case you are not sure yet, then you could start trying new things.
Get out of your house. Stop watching TV, porn and playing video games!
Try tons of different things and get as much life experience as you can.
Stop resisting to the unknown, just drop in and learn new things. Take as much action as possible.
I realized that this is crucial to find what you really love when I moved to live on my own.
I was always into martial arts and the first thing I did after enrolling in college was to find an instructor. But I also wanted to acquire new types of experiences.
I decided to take some dancing classes. In 3 months I have realized what I wanted to do in my life. I wanted to dance.
I don’t know if it seems really quick but I suppose that when you find your obsession you don’t need years to understand that this is for you.
You instantly feel it.
