Have you ever wondered how you can maintain a flawless skin that looks awesome? Actually, you don’t need to spend tons of time or money to make your skin look glowing.
I have been always “accused” of my baby face. I look 3-4 years younger than I actually am. This will be in my favor when I will be 40 years old since the effect will be much bigger at this time.
I will probably look 10 years younger. And that’s not due to any expensive skin care cream or my amazing genetics.
My genetics suck. I had cystic acne for years and my face looked awful. Even before my acne I didn’t have a perfect skin.
Then how does my skin look so youthful?
I am glad you asked. It’s because of 6 habits that I have incorporated into my daily routine consistently. These 6 skin care tips help my skin look amazing. And if you follow them consistently I am confident to say that they will do miracles for your skin as well.
They are not magical tips or something you have never heard before. But most of us don’t do them consistently. That’s the deal with these tips : they must be done consistently.
But if you want to do something consistently it’s easier to do it if you have a plan of action. And the plan is right here for you.

1.Eat Foods With Polyphenols
Polyphenols are a class of natural substances commonly found in plant-based foods.
They have been found to protect the skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation and reduce the risk of skin cancer.
Therefore, they can boost your skin’s health in an insane degree and that’s why you must eat foods with polyphenols on a daily basis.
You can get polyphenols from onions, cacao, berries and cherries, tea and red wine.
How you can incorporate polyphenols in your daily diet effortlessly:
- When you go out with your friends drink red wine.
I don’t use to drink alcohol, so when I go out with friends or a girl for a drink, I always choose to drink red wine.
Red wine is full of antioxidants. For those who don’t know, antioxidants help in reducing free radicals in your body. They are essential in anti-aging and a basic key weapon against many age-related diseases.
So drinking red wine is the best option you have when you go out. Instead of getting drunk to the bone and filling your body with useless alcohol that doesn’t give you anything than temporary pleasure – do yourself a favor and drink a glass or two of red wine.

Whenever I go out and sit in a place that I need to order something to drink, I always drink cacao.
Most people will drink cappuccinos, lattes, milk shakes, chocolate or whatever. But that’s the difference between those who have glowing skin and those who haven’t.
So what’s the deal with cacao?
Cacao is the purest form of chocolate in existence. It’s not so processed compared to chocolate bars, truffle or cocoa powder. And it’s full of antioxidants like red wine.
Actually, cacao is considered the #1 source of antioxidants among all foods!
Did you know that cacao comes from “theobroma cacao”? You probably don’t. But do you know what theobroma cacao means?
It means “food for the gods”. And that’s really what cacao is.

Instead of drinking a coca cola, energy drink, alcohol or milk you should prefer to drink cacao. No matter if you are at home or out, make cacao your number one beverage and you won’t regret it at all!
Obviously, cacao doesn’t taste so awesome like chocolate. Chocolate is heavily processed until it reaches the point of having great taste.
But after 3-4 times of drinking cacao you will get used to it and you will like the flavor. That’s what happened with me. And it’s far much healthier.

Are you eating salads in the first place? If not, then you should add salads in your nutrition plan – and you should also add onions in your salads.

And of course, they are rich in polyphenols.
Whenever you eat a salad, include onions. Basically, when you eat foods that you can put onions in, then choose to put onions in.
Obviously, you should carry a pack of mint gums with you if you are planning to socialize or meet other people after eating a meal with onions.

We all know that eating vegetables is great for our health. But how many of do really eat enough green vegetables to reap the multiple health benefits?
I would bet the most of us simply ignore green vegetables and don’t include them in our diet.
The truth is that green leafy vegetables are your best friend towards a youthful skin.
Why Are Green Vegetables So Important For Your Skin?
Green leafy vegetables are the number one food you should be eating to boost your overall health and of course your skin’s health.
That’s because of the antioxidants that green vegetables have.

But which green vegetables are the best to eat?
Spinach is full of beta-carotene and lutein. According to the Journal Of Agricultural Food Chemistry, lutein and beta carotene can improve your skin elasticity.
Hint: when buying spinach, pick the one of in the light. That’s because spinach under light has MORE VITAMINS and carotenoids compared to spinach stored in a dark place.
Broccoli is rich in vitamin C which helps against aging and reduces the chance of wrinkle formation.
Kale is full of Vitamin C, Copper, Vitamin A and Vitamin K. Just one cup of kale gives you all the vitamin K you need for one day. How are these nutrients helping you achieve a better looking skin?

Vitamin A: It’s one of the most powerful vitamins that boost your skin’s youthfulness. The most potent medication against acne is called Isotretinoin and it’s a synthetic form of vitamin A.
What does this mean? It means that if the most powerful anti-acne medication is full of Vitamin A, it’s no-brainer that you should consume more vitamin A.

According to Virginia State University adults should eat at least 2.5 cups of vegetables per day. And you should also include multi-color vegetables like peppers, carrots, green vegetables etc.
Generally, you should eat all kinds of vegetables. But if you are like me and not a fan of them – just focus on the three above: Kale, spinach and broccoli.
Beyond these 3 you can eat the rest of vegetables that you enjoy eating. For example, I like eating carrots, peppers and cucumbers, but I don’t like tomatoes.

4.Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate and Hydrate!
That’s a no-brainer. Drink water. Drink as much water as you can.
I won’t really speak about the innumerable benefits of drinking water to point out why this is so important. But when more than 50% of your body is water, doesn’t it make sense that you should drink more?
I know this is a common tip, but it’s essential and if you want to have a glowing skin you MUST drink water CONSTANTLY.
According to this article by Mayo Clinic men should drink about 3 liter of fluids per day and women 2.2 liters.
All fluids count towards water intake. For instance, if you drink some juice, this adds up to the overall fluids you should drink.
But if you want to make sure that you are really drinking enough water, then try to reach the numbers above just by drinking water. Don’t bother about what fluids you get from the rest of your dieting.
Personally, I drink 3 liters of water per day at LEAST.
When I was younger, I used to avoid drinking water. I always knew that water is extremely healthy and I was always being told that I should drink more water. Yet, I have never drunk more because I didn’t have a reason.
Back then I was drinking about 0.5-1 Liter per day and I didn’t care.
My reason was that I wanted to have a soft, flawless skin and look amazing. I have suffered a lot from acne. This made me realize that if I want to look better – I must improve every part of my life that’s within my reach.
So I started drinking more and more water. And the effect was really astonishing.
Now, if I haven’t drunk any water for more than an hour I feel like my body will collapse and I am like “oh my god, I need water or I will die – I must find some water immediately”
How do you know that you are drinking enough water?
Simple. If you are going to your bathroom on a consistent basis – actually many times – during the day, it’s a sign that you are drinking enough water.
Another way to know if you are dehydrated is the following:
When you go to the bathroom to make your move, look at the color of your pee. The whiter it is, the more hydrated you are. If its color is leaning towards yellow and dark orange, then you need to hydrate yourself.
It’s really so simple!
What I like to do is to drink one glass with water right after I wake up. I always add half a lemon in the water to take advantage of the detoxifying effects of lemon – as well as the vitamin C it has.
5.Fast In The Morning & Feast At Night
Fasting has helped me incredibly to burn that stubborn belly fat and improve my physique. But it has also helped me get a better looking skin.
What is intermittent fasting?
IF or intermittent fasting is a common practice that many people in the fitness industry use to lose weight and burn fat fast.
There are several IF protocols, but here is then one that I like to use and I think that is the most convenient. Wake up in the morning and eat nothing for 4-8 hours after waking up. Then eat 2-3 big meals until you go to sleep at night.
Except that you will experience increased energy, mental clarity, focus and fat burning you will also notice that your skin will start looking like a million bucks.
Why is that?
Because when you eat, your body spends a lot of energy to digest the food. When your body stops digesting it can focus on other processes like detoxifying your body.
If you have pimples you will notice that they will go away faster when you fast. During fasting your body will need energy to work. And to have that energy it will use your fat deposit. But it will also carry away waste like scared and damaged skin tissue.
And don’t worry – you won’t die if you miss breakfast.
6.Take Advantage Of The Power Of Flavonoids in Green Tea & Cocoa
What are flavonoids?
Flavonoids, according to Wikipedia, are a group of plant metabolites. They can be found in a variety of vegetables and fruits. But they can also be found in green tea and cocoa.
Actually, a study conducted by The Journal of Nutrition  has shown that the long term ingestion of cocoa high in flavonoids can improve overall skin quality. The study’s participants were women but the result would probably be the same for men.
The participants were split into two groups. One group consumed low flavanol cocoa and the other high flavanol cocoa powder for 12 weeks.
The results? The group that consumed high flavanol cocoa experienced increases in skin density and skin hydration, better photoprotection and improved dermal blood circulation. On the other hand, no significant changes were noticed in the 2nd group.
So, drinking cocoa dissolved in water can benefit your skin’s appearance.
Wait a minute…Should we drink cocoa or cacao? What’s the difference?
There is a big difference between cocoa and cacao when it comes to taste, cost and production process.
Cocoa is usually cheaper than cacao but it undergoes some serious heating process. Cocoa is also beneficial for your health so it all comes down to how much money you can spend and what will satisfy your tastebuds better.
Then we have green tea – which is another amazing option. And you could drink it daily.
Green tea is a great alternative for coffee. It’s very rich in flavonoids and especially catechins that can fight and prevent cell damage.
The great about green tea is that it doesn’t go under much process before it reaches your cup. And because of that, it’ really rich in natural catechins.

So to simplify your life I will recap and give you a plan of action that if you follow – It will make your skin look better than ever.
That’s what I do consistently and gives me great results:
- When you go out at night, drink only red wine. If you go out during the day, drink cacao, or cocoa.
- Include onion in your salads or other foods.
- Eat lots of kale, spinach and broccoli. You should eat about 500 grams of green vegetables per day. Or you can make green juices like a kale shake.
- Drink at least 3 liters of water per day. Always have water next to you and check your pee color to see if you are hydrated.
- Buy an antioxidant serum and apply it on your face every night after you wash your face with a cleanser like African Black Soap.
- Skip breakfast, fast in the morning and eat 2-3 big meals per day.
- Instead of drinking fizzy drinks and other beverages that are high in calories, prefer to drink green tea.
